More Product Information

Description

Angora goats produce a beautifully luxurious, durable fiber called Mohair which rates amongst the warmest natural fibers around. It is a fiber that is justifiably recognized worldwide as the “diamond fiber” making this a popular choice for high-end fashion.

Mohair scarves are a lovely “treat yourself” or charming gift idea. With their natural fibers, these scarves provide comfort and warmth. They are proudly made in South Africa from our finest Mohair fiber, enriching the visible beauty of their woven texture. The masterful craftsmanship involved in producing these scarves ensures that they are of a high and heirloom quality making this a timeless investment.

Mohair fiber features:

  • Breathable, durable fibers, will look beautiful for many years
  • Natural silky lustre and great insulating properties
  • Extremely soft, light weight warmth
  • Easy care, non-crease, odour resistant
  • This luxury fiber is made from shorn fleece of the long-haired Angora Goat
  • Woven by hand
  • Made in South Africa

Information

Maintaining the longevity of your mohair product while keeping it looking great! Store your garment in a cool dry place. Do not store in plastic. Do not spray perfume directly on garment, especially if it is white. Do not keep knitted Mohair garments on hangers, rather fold and store on a shelf. To fluff up your garment, lightly shake or gently brush down by hand. Soak in tepid water using mild detergent recommended for washing wool, or hair shampoo. Very gently agitate by hand to dislodge dirt particles. Do not agitate unduly. Rinse in clean, cool water. A small amount of fabric softener can be used if desired. Hang or lay flat to dry (mohair dries quite quickly). When dry, a brisk shake or brush (with a light brush) will restore the pile. Gentle coaxing, rather than firm strokes, is advised to ease out tangle and create the downy pile for which Mohair is renowned. Do not tumble dry.
