Whether you’re slipping into your first pair or ordering your fifth, we’re here to make your experience seamless. Below you’ll find answers to our most frequently asked questions about our handcrafted sheepskin slippers, delivery, returns, and more.
Each pair is proudly handmade in South Africa using 100% genuine sheepskin. Naturally insulating, they keep your feet warm in winter and cool in summer—offering unmatched softness, breathability, and durability.
Our slippers are designed for indoor use only. While they feature durable rubber soles, wearing them outside is at your own discretion and voids all returns and guarantees.
Yes. All slippers are responsibly crafted in South Africa using ethically sourced materials, supporting sustainability and local artisans.
We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery. Returns are accepted only if the slippers are:
-Unworn
-In original packaging
-Accompanied by proof of purchase
Returns are not accepted for:
-Worn or used slippers
-Sale items
-Slippers damaged due to outdoor use or misuse
-Items returned after the 7-day window
Slippers are handmade and may vary slightly in shape or finish, this is part of their charm and not considered a defect.

You can use your own courier or request a collection (courier fees may apply).
We offer a 14-day comfort guarantee. If there’s a genuine issue, we’ll make it right.
– Processed within 5–7 working days after receiving the returned item.
– Sale items are final sale and non-refundable unless stated otherwise at checkout.
– For change-of-mind returns, R300 courier fee is deducted unless exchanged for store credit.
Yes—only if:
– The item is defective or damaged
– The request is made within 14 days

If marked as a gift: we’ll issue store credit
If not marked as a gift: the refund goes to the original purchaser

Gauteng: 1–2 business days
Major cities: 2–4 business days
Outlying areas: 3–6 business days
Pudo to Pudo: variable (collection within 36 hours of locker arrival)
Note: Timelines may vary based on order time, courier pickup, and locker collection.
Not in stock but made to order
Lead time: 3–4 weeks
We regularly update our stock, so in some cases, the wait time may be shorter.
In Peak Season /Public Holidays such as:

–Summer Holiday Season
-Easter Weekends & Public Holidays
-Christmas & Year-End Holidays
Note: Ordering on back-order secures your pair, especially during peak seasons.
Yes. Sizes 2 and 13 are available.
Additional charges may apply for size 13.
– Spot clean only with a damp cloth
– Do not machine wash or tumble-dry
– Air dry naturally (avoid direct sunlight)
Yes, collar repairs are offered on a case-by-case basis.
These depend on:
Condition of the slippers
Type of damage
Availability of matching materials
Note: A small fee for materials and labour may apply. Repairs are not guaranteed.
Yes. Sheepskin naturally regulates temperature—keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.
If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, email orders@localislekkerza.co.za with your order number. We’ll do our best to update it before collection.
We use only 100% South African sheepskin—plush wool lining with a soft suede or leather outer. All materials are chosen for comfort, durability, and ethical sourcing.
