About Us
Our sauce journey dates decades back to it’s inception in the 1980’s. What started out as an experimental recipe in the kitchen after a night out at a local Portuguese restaurant became a firm family favourite over the years. The recipe eventually got handed down from mom to daughter who, with her background as a chemist/microbiologist, became the proverbial mad scientist behind the refining of this delicious table sauce and condiment. And so the legacy continues. We are now offering with great pride our very own, jalapeno, habanero and extra hot peri-peri versions of the original recipe as an extension of our family’s creativity and innovation.

Kitchen Secrets Artisanal Sauces are hot, tangy and flavourful table sauces inspired by Portuguese/Mozambican influences. Made artisanally  and using a variety of farm fresh chillies and local purple garlic, these versatile sauces can be used for dipping, for marinating or simply to cook with.
