A simple guide to applying an iron-on patch:

Materials Needed : Iron,Ironing board or a flat, heat-resistant surface,Thin cloth (like a pillowcase or cotton handkerchief),The item you want to put the patch on

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Iron: Set the iron to a medium-high setting (without steam). Make sure it’s hot enough to melt the adhesive backing on the patch.

2. Position the Patch: Place the patch where you want it on the fabric. Make sure it’s centered and aligned as you like.

3. Cover with Cloth: Lay the thin cloth over the patch. This protects both the patch and fabric from direct heat.

4. Press the Iron Down: Hold the iron firmly on top of the cloth for about 20-30 seconds. Avoid moving the iron around, as this may shift the patch.

5. Check the Adhesion: Lift the iron and cloth and check if the patch edges are secure. If it starts lifting, re-cover and apply the iron again for another 10-15 seconds.

6. Let It Cool: Allow the patch and fabric to cool for a few minutes so the adhesive fully bonds.

Optional Step: Sewing

For extra durability, especially on items that will go through the wash often, you might want to sew the edges down after ironing.
